Thanks again for arranging that astonishing
round of golf at Somersett. My friend and I finished
up our annual Golf Week get-a-way at Somersett, and your course was clearly the most gorgeous,
well-kept, and fun round we had. In past years, we’ve
golfed at Celebration, in Florida. Bayonet, below Monterey
on the California coast. dozens of great courses in
Southern California, and every top public course in
the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe.
On the past two trips, we hit Northstar,
the Championship Course in Incline Village, Old Greenbrook
in Truckee, Dark Horse, Lakeridge, and even caught opening
day at Squaw. None – repeat, NONE – of these stellar
courses even came close to matching the beauty and grandeur
of Somersett. Your greens were the best we’ve ever putted
on, and the luxuriant fairways were just breathtaking.
A challenging course, but still solid golfing fun even
on the toughest holes. The one birdie I had on eleven
was a well-earned triumph I will brag about for a long
time.
You guys have done an amazing job
transforming a meandering trek of high desert into a
golfing oasis. Thanks so much for the opportunity to
experience it. ~ John Carlton, 5/2007

Andy & Erin Zarcone
Somersett was planned with the very
latest in technology wiring and features. The community’s
connectivity is proving a popular and compelling feature
for homebuyers.
“My DSL connection is rock solid, and I’ve found
that it’s easy to telecommute with my office in the
San Francisco Bay Area,” said Andy Zarcone, a
project manager for Sun Microsystems, who along with
his wife Erin and dogs Maggie and Gracie, are Somersett’s
first residents. “I’m on the computer for 12 to
14 hours a day from my home office and only have to
make the drive to the Bay Area once every six weeks
or so.”
