2nd Annual Somersett Poker Hike set for Saturday, June 6, 2009
(Reno, NV) Somersett celebrates National Trails Day with a 2-mile moderate Poker Hike on Saturday, June 6, 2009. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at The Club at Town Center, 7650 Town Square Way in west Reno. The Poker Hike takes place between 8:30 and 10 a.m. and will be immediately followed by live music and refreshments in the Town Square. The winner of the Poker Hike will be announced at 11:15 a.m.
Participants can collect cards from 7 different stations along the trail with the best 5-card hand eligible to win a $100 gift card to the Roundabout Bistro and a flight of wine from Whispering Vine. Well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on the hike. No strollers please. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes. The event is free and open to the public.
For more information or to preregister, visit www.somersett.com or call 787-4500. To visit Somersett, take I-80 to the Robb drive exit and turn left on Sharlands Avenue. Sharlands turns into Somersett Parkway. Turn in at the second roundabout and follow the event signs.
