The master-planned community of Somersett in west Reno has been named “Outstanding Master Planned Association of the Year,” by the Nevada Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). CAI is an international organization with 770 members in Nevada and advocates for responsible communities. The award was presented in Las Vegas on January 17, 2009.
The award is given to an association, which, through its Board of Directors and members, best exemplifies the community aspects of an association. Nominees were judged on educating their homeowners, successfully solving problems and participation within the local community. There were five additional statewide nominees vying for the award. The awards were judged by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of CAI.
Somersett is managed by Associated Management Company, Inc., with offices in Reno, Las Vegas and Incline Village. Somersett’s Community Manager, Brian DeLisle, was thrilled to accept the award from CAI President, Susan Bauman.
