Pressbox > GREG RALEIGH JOINS SOMERSETT COUNTRY CLUB TEAM
Greg Raleigh has joined Somersett Country Club as
membership director for the private club.
Raleigh grew up in Renton, Washington and from there became a nationally
ranked and recruited junior golfer. He attended Stanford University on a
golf scholarship, where he received a B.A. in Quantitative Economics.
After college, Raleigh moved to New York City to work as a financial analyst
but it was not long before he returned to his first love, golf. He then
traveled throughout North America for five years playing professional golf.
In 2000, Raleigh joined KSL's PGA West operations team and worked as general
manager and head golf professional at the TPC Stadium Clubhouse in La
Quinta. In 2002, KSL rotated him over to their membership sales team at the
La Quinta Resort. Raleigh has also held the title of director of golf at
Thunder Canyon Golf Club in Nevada's Washoe Valley.
Somersett Country Club is over half way to full membership capacity and the
18-hole championship course designed by Tom Kite has quickly become a
northern Nevada jewel. Named one of Golfweek's top residential courses,
Somersett Country Club has already begun to find its distinction nationwide.
Somersett Country Club was also named in Reno Magazine's Best of Reno Issue,
which lists 101 reasons that Reno is a great place to live.
