On the horizon, envision the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains. Just in front of you, visualize the emerald greens of a fairway meticulously maintained. The reality -- it's all in your own back yard at Toll Brothers' new home neighborhoods within Reno-area golf communities.
The nation's leading builder of luxury homes now offers residences in three golf course communities in Reno, including Mountain Crest and Sonterra at Somersett and Toll Brothers at ArrowCreek.
"When Toll Brothers expanded its operation to the Reno area last year, we wanted to be a part of the most prestigious golf course communities," says Gary Mayo, vice president of Toll Brothers.
"Somersett and ArrowCreek set the standard for golf lifestyles in the area. By offering Toll Brothers' award-winning homes in these communities, we are able to meet and exceed the expectations our homebuyers have for the ultimate in luxury living."
At Somersett, homeowners have access to a stunning 18-hole championship golf course designed by 1992 U.S. Open Champion Tom Kite. The course spans 7,360 yards and has a par 72. Features of the course include seven lakes, 62 bunkers and 400-foot-wide landing areas, as well as dramatic elevation changes and majestic mountain views.
The private Somersett course also offers complete practice and learning facilities. In addition to the 18-hole course, Somersett also offers the "just for fun" Canyon Nine par-3 golf course.
Upon completion, Mountain Crest will include 100 homes -- with a number of golf course sites available. Four new floor plans, ranging in size from 2,600 to 4,200 square feet, are offered with prices starting from the low $600,000s.
Three model homes will open for viewing at Mountain Crest this fall.
In addition to Mountain Crest, sales are now under way at Toll Brothers' Sonterra at Somersett.
Plans for Sonterra include approximately 114 homesites with a selection of six floor plans ranging in size from 3,400 to 5,200 square feet. Model homes are planned for completion in summer 2005.
Somersett is a spectacular gated community that will include a 21,000-square-foot recreational complex and a community trail system extending more than 25 miles.
"Homebuyers have been very enthusiastic about the lifestyle offered within Mountain Crest and Sonterra at Somersett," Mayo says. "Somersett is the ideal setting for those who want it all -- from world-class golf to comfortable family living."

Toll Brothers at ArrowCreek is the builder's newest luxury home community in the Reno area. ArrowCreek features a distinctive golf experience with two private 18-hole championship golf courses designed by some of the best known names in golf. The Legend Course, designed by Arnold Palmer, and The Challenge Course, designed by Fuzzy Zoeller and John Harbottle III, offer play for all skill levels. The course features dramatic views of downtown and the brilliance of Mount Rose.
The Legend features a traditional layout with mild undulations and extensive bunkering, as well as panoramic views of the surrounding natural terrain. The course is more than 7,100 yards from the back tees and has a par 72.
Also with a par of 72, the Challenge Course blends old-fashioned Scottish-links style with the natural terrain of the high desert and spans more than 7,500 yards from the back tees.
A nine-hole putting course is also offered at ArrowCreek.
"The courses at ArrowCreek are exceptional," Mayo says. "We've been very pleased with the response to Toll Brothers at ArrowCreek, and recognize that homebuyers are drawn to this community for its immaculate golf courses and remarkable setting."
Homes at Toll Brothers at ArrowCreek range in size from approximately 2,700 to more than 4,300 square feet of living space. Four floor plans are available, including the Glendale, Marlette, Keystone and the Galena. Homes are priced from the low $600,000s.
Toll Brothers at ArrowCreek is an intimate, gated community featuring an abundance of lifestyle amenities such as a private club, which offers swimming pools, a spa, tennis courts and a fitness center.
The community is located in the scenic foothills of southwest Reno near Highway 392 and the Damonte Ranch Parkway exit.
